Which one of those D30's do you think would fit the front of a YJ? My neighbor blew his up remember? I don't know. Width of the narrow track axle is 50", wide track is 56". I don't know if either of those is YJ width. Both of the D30's are sold, but there is that CJ-7 in the junkyard, I don't know if it is narrow or wide track.

CJ d30 axles are passenger side drop. Those silly square headlight jeeps are driver side drop d30's

Jay, i'll echo cory's point, the CJ axle is passenger drop, and the JK axle is way too wide, and has a different wheel pattern (although it would make a cool project to narrow it and put YJ outers on it)
The easiest solution is to try and nab one from an XJ, cut the coil spring mounts off and weld on some leaf pads. Same width, same wheel pattern, and you can likely get one that is the same gear ratio too. Unfortunately, after all that work, you still have a D30. ;D
